this is a flat-out terrible idea.So i bought the prem IV command tank to level me up to tiger. Putting at 4.3 would allow it to fight 3.3's who are still fighting close quarters melee combat almost. The Tiger 1, like most German tanks has a really good effective engagement distance thanks to their optics and decent guns. So put it lower than most of the Shermans in the game? I'm sorry, hang on.you're saying that a Tiger 1 is worse than a Sherman? Just because they have a gun that can pen you? Sheesh.
#War thunder tiger tank how to#
How about you learn how to use the tiger. Your argument is that you play ok in the b1 but not the tiger, there for the tiger needs to have a br change. You are now having problems with the tiger as you now face people that know how to play the game.Īnd you seem to think it is ok for the tiger to fight br 3.3. No, you are killing new people with the b1, it is rubbish. I'm simply saying that if the B1 is a good example of how a heavy tank should behave at its own BR then the Tiger H1's BR needs to be lowered. My whole point was that i wasn't arguing over historical accuracy. However 5.3 is probably the only BR it could stay at and not be too overpowered, because at 4.3 if you get down tiered, suddenly your facing a lot of things that cant actually kill you from most ranges, including point blank, so it would become a huge balancing issue that's for sure.īut I do see your point. However, what you need to bare in mind is that Gaijin don't really care that much for historical accuracy in-game that much so to have most of your point centered around that just invalidates most of what your saying. If you want to live your wehraboo fantasy download an user mission. The only reason why you struggle with tigers at 5.3 and 5.7 is because you have to learn to play. Too bad the Tiger is mobile enough to respond quickly to all of those threats, it's crew is spaced well enough that incapacitating it in a single shot is pretty much impossible and it outguns all of it's competition. Some British tanks, some French tanks and some Swedish tanks. You know how many tanks can actually penetrate reliabily an angled Tiger at that battle rating? Let's talk about tiger 1's at 4.3 now, shall we? The only reson why B1's seem though is because generally it faces players who do not know how to actually fight it. The only nations that have reserves that may have trouble penetrating it from the front are the Japanese and the Italian ones. The B1 is balanced because, while being well armored, it is not impenetrable.Īmerican, Soviet, British, Cinese and Swedish reserves can penetrate B1's with ease. You're forgetting that the first and foremost priority for a pvp game is balance and fun. So go ahead call me a wehraboo but understand that i only want to play every tank in this game the way it's meant to be played. And to please the crowd that wants historical accuracy, if the tiger were fully down-tiered it would be fighting regular shermans and T-34s (aka the tanks it would've actually fought in 80% of the battles it saw). If the tiger were queued at 4.3 it would act pretty much exactly the same as the B1 acts in 2.0, having good armor, a great gun, and clear weaknesses. But where the tiger sits at now it is extremely underpowered even if it were to be considered a medium tank. The fact that the tiger is a late 1942 tank being queued against 1944 tanks is pretty well known however i understand the need to balance the game. Now notice that i did not mention historical accuracy in any of these examples. So when queued at 5.3 the tiger essentially acts as a medium tank without any of the benefits.

When queued at its BR it can be penned pretty much anywhere besides certain spots on the turret unless you angle, has a gun that pretty much one shots everything unless it's uptiered (something the B1s 75mm does not face), even when angling it can be penned on it's weak spots, those being the turret's front plate, neck, and drivers window. The B1 also has a few clearly defined weaknesses, those being it's slow movement, turret traverse, and the fact that it has virtually no armor in the neck. When queued at its own BR the B1 can not be penned frontally, nor on the sides, has a decent gun for it's br (the 47mm) and can one shot anything if it positions correctly (the 75mm hull gun). First of all let me establish what a "heavy tank" should really be in this game, the B1 bis is a perfect example. Now before you call me a wehraboo atleast do me the common courtesy of reading why i think this.
